About the Research

Smith Micro commissioned this research study to learn more about the opinions of American drivers – who are parents of teenagers aged 13-18 – regarding teaching their teenagers how to drive, the safety of their teen drivers, the dangers of distracted driving and smartphone use while driving, and their willingness to use mobile apps that provide driver safety monitoring, collision detection, and personalized driver coaching.
